post-title

Syiah Kuala University (USK) through the Faculty of Medicine (FK) succeeded in producing the first graduates of the Masters in Public Health (MKM) Study Program. The inaugural alumni numbered 24 people, with details of 15 people graduating with honors, and 9 others graduating very satisfactorily.

The judicial process was held online via the Zoom application, at the local campus, Tuesday (15/6). The Dean of the USK Medical Faculty, Prof. Dr. dr Maimun Syukri, SP.PD-KGH in his speech congratulated MKM graduates.

At that moment, Prof. Maimun seemed touched by this achievement. Not to forget, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine expressed his gratitude to the Chancellor of the USK, Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M.Eng. Prof. Maimun recalled the struggle of the past few years, where MKM accreditation was C, but the Chancellor's encouragement to file an appeal was not in vain. MKM is accredited B.

For those of you who are already working, you can get promoted if the minimum accreditation is B. With the hard work of the Head of Study Program, lecturers, admin team and others, our efforts will be granted. Of course, the task of LP3M USK also plays an important role. They are always there when we need help

said the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine

Meanwhile, USK Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Ir. Samsul Rizal, M.Eng expressed his appreciation to all parties, especially the success of obtaining B accreditation. What happened since the existence of the MHM Study Program until it obtained B accreditation was a twist. Therefore, the Chancellor does not want to be complacent, in the future MKM is expected to be even better.

You should be proud to be the first USK MKM alumni, thank God B accreditation. Insyaallah next year we will reaccredit. We complete all the facilities that are lacking, in order to be superior

said the Chancellor.

Furthermore, Prof. Samsul prayed that USK MKM graduates would be given the strength by Allah SWT to serve the community, especially in Aceh, which incidentally is one of the provinces where the level of public health is still lacking compared to other regions. The Chancellor advised that MKM graduates really contribute to the prevention of Covid-19, which has been going on for approximately one and a half years.

With so many MKM graduates, medicine or others, they can better educate the public. That's what we expect. I always underline, a good education will change an area. Hopefully Aceh can pass Covid-19

Said Prof. Samsul

He asked graduates to maintain the alma mater, maintain integrity. According to him, that's what's important. Tell the truth, even if it's very hard. Because Islam teaches, if you want to build a nation, honesty is very important.

Finally, Teuku Rinaldy in his speech on behalf of the graduates expressed his gratitude to the teachers (lecturers) for all the knowledge given. Both the science of Public Health, and other sciences. He quoted the advice of an Islamic figure, he said, useful knowledge is knowledge that makes its owner humble.

Let's develop our knowledge to be better, for family, nation, religion, also USK

he said.
