The Anatomy-Histology section has been a part of the Faculty of Medicine at Syiah Kuala University (FK USK) since 1982. The Anatomy-Histology section includes the anatomy and histology laboratory which currently has seven teaching staff, two practicum laboratory assistants, and one education administration person.
This section supports the Vision and the USK Medical Faculty by preparing and carrying out elements of teaching and education, research and community service as well as participating in preparing USK Medical Faculty students to become excellent, competitive, innovative medical students both locally and globally.
During his 40 years of work in the USK Medical Faculty, the Anatomy-Histology Section was led by six section heads, namely:

2. dr. Male August Yadi, Sp.B-KBD (1987-1998)
3. dr. Benny Kurnia, Sp.ENT-KL (K) (2004-2007)
4. dr. Muhammad Mizfaruddin, M.Kes., Sp.S (2007-2008; 2016-present)
5. dr. Rosaria Indah, M.Sc., Ph.D. (2009-2012)
6. dr. Reza Maulana, M.Sc., Sp.U (2012-2016)
