The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University is a student organization engaged in the medical and health professions that has commitment and concern for the community, both central and local communities by participating in assisting government programs both regional and central in the implementation and supervision of development in general and the development of health and medicine in particular. By fostering productive and professional collaboration, both among student institutions of medical faculties throughout Indonesia as well as with related parties who are also committed to the community, it is hoped that a healthy condition of Indonesian society will be realized in order to succeed in national development.
The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the USK Faculty of Medicine is the only medical student senate at USK. This status was confirmed by the Decree of the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine No. 10 of 2006 concerning Inauguration.
The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the USK Faculty of Medicine, which was established in 1992 in Darussalam, to be precise, the USK Medical campus, in carrying out its activities, was met by several selected students from various elements in the student force who were members of the Student Representative Council (DPM) of the USK Faculty of Medicine which led by the General Chair, whose function is to supervise and consider the wheels of the organization run by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the USK Faculty of Medicine.
In preparing the work program of the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the USK Faculty of Medicine, the focus was more on developing and improving the quality of Unsyiah's medical human resources in the context of health development towards a healthy and prosperous Indonesian society. Of course, to realize the existing work program, it must have the support of all parties, both internal and external and up to now
The Student Executive Board (BEM) of the USK Faculty of Medicine seeks to foster mutually beneficial cooperation with a sense of responsibility without leaving professional ethics and organizational independence.
