SIGNING OF LETTER OF INTEND BETWEEN FK USK AND ERASMUS MEDICAL CENTER

The Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University, represented in this case by the Deputy Dean for Resources and Finance, Dr. Dr. Dedy Syahrizal, M. Kes. together with the deans of members of the Association of Indonesian State Medical Faculties (AFKNI) signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with the Erasmus Medical Center in Rotterdam on September 20 2023. The signing of this cooperation agreement was part of a series of AFKNI visits to the Netherlands in the context of strengthening international collaboration between medical institutions in Indonesia and the Netherlands which will take place from 16 to 22 September 2023.


The signing of this LOI will also be continued with other University Medical Centers in the Netherlands.


According to the Deputy Dean for Resources and Finance, FK USK, Dr. Dr. Dedy Syahrizal, M.Kes, collaboration with several University Medical Centers in the Netherlands is aimed at increasing the capacity of teaching staff and students and teaching staff as well as strengthening research from each institution involved. There are several planned activities that will be carried out in the form of student and staff exchanges, research collaborations and other agreed activities.


Apart from signing the LOI, the visit to the Netherlands also included a sharing session between the deans regarding the medical education system in both countries as well as a visit to the Leiden University Medical Center, the Indonesian Embassy in the Netherlands in the context of initiating collaboration between Indonesia and the Netherlands and the Philip Company in the context of reviewing infrastructure and technological progress. medicine in the Netherlands.
