The Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University (USK) held a ceremonial signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) and Memorandum of Understanding (MoA) on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the USK Faculty of Medicine Building. The event was attended by the Rector of USK, Prof. Dr. Ir. Marwan, IPU, the Dean and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, as well as key collaboration partners from Indonesia and abroad. Representatives from the Danish Institutes Against Torture (DIGNITY), Sharlenna Wang, Ph.D.; the Center for Study Prevention and Violence (CSPV), Colorado University, Sabrina Arredondo Mattson, Ph.D.; and Susanne Argamaso Maher, MA. Also in attendance were representatives from various key government agencies in Aceh, including the Aceh Regional Office of the Directorate General of Corrections, the Aceh Provincial Education Office, representatives from the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) of Aceh Province, the Banda Aceh City Education and Culture Office, the Banda Aceh City DP3AP2KB Office, and the Banda Aceh City National Narcotics Agency (BNN).
In his remarks, the USK Rector emphasized that this activity demonstrated the university's commitment to research and community service. "This collaboration is one of the efforts to establish Syiah Kuala University as an Impactful Campus, one that not only produces quality graduates but also actively contributes to solving social problems in the community," said Prof. Marwan.
