Young Southeast Asia Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Academic Fellowship Program Fall 2023.
This program was initiated by President Barack Obama in 2013 for youth development through bidirectional exchanges between the United States and ASEAN countries & Timor Leste.
One of the USK FK alumni, dr. Amran Wali succeeded in becoming one of Indonesia's representatives in this program for the fall 2023 period at Portland State University in the field of "Civic Engagement".
Dr. Amran said he had the opportunity to understand global and regional civil issues, receive personal and community development training, dialogue with various non-profit organizations and city governments in the United States.
As a doctor, Dr. Amran designed a youth empowerment program in the eradication of tropical infectious diseases with a school and village-based agenda. Through this program design, I was successfully selected to be a speaker at the Certification Ceremony at Arizona State University, Washington D.C -

Through YSEALI AFP, Dr Amran is increasingly convinced that society also needs doctors to become leaders.
