The Faculty of Medicine held a scientific oration with the Indonesian Minister of Health in the context of the 37th anniversary

The Medical Faculty of Syiah Kuala University (Unsyiah Medical Faculty) held a Scientific Oration in the framework of the 37th Anniversary of the Unsyiah Medical Faculty entitled "Health Profession: Hopes and Challenges in Era 4.0" which was delivered by the Indonesian Minister of Health Prof. DR. Dr. Nila Farid Moeloek, Sp. M (K) at the Multipurpose Hall, MIPA Building, Syiah Kuala University


The scientific oration began with the opening of an open session by the Dean of the Unsyiah Faculty of Medicine, Prof. DR. Dr. Maimun Syukri, Sp.PD-KGH.


In his presentation, currently the Unsyiah Faculty of Medicine has produced doctors and psychologists of national and international caliber. At the age of 37 this year, the Faculty of Medicine is committed to continuing to maintain the quality of education in order to increase the competitiveness of its graduates.


The Dean also invited the Minister of Health to be the Keynote Speaker at the National Nutrition Forum in October. DR. Samsul Rizal, M.Eng., Sc said that the University is ready to support the implementation of health services by increasing the qualifications and competencies of Human Resources.


The Chancellor also warmly welcomed the arrival of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia in giving a Scientific Oration at the 37th Milad of the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University. In his speech, the Minister of Health said that to realize health development, creative and innovative thinking must be carried out in accordance with the fifth NAWACITA in order to build public understanding about healthy living based on the Human Capital Index.


Utilization of IT is very important to improve the quality of services in order to improve public health competence so as to achieve integrated health services (Interprofessional Collaboration). He conveys solutions to Indonesia's current health problems through 7 quality dimensions, namely effective, efficient, timely, safe, integrated, fair and patient-focused.


He also conveyed about how to build a healthy paradigm through the Healthy Living Community Movement (GERMAS) according to Presidential Instruction No. 01 year 2017.


At the end of her presentation, Nila hopes that the younger generation of health people born in particular from the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University can become agents of change in order to organize the development of a better Indonesian health.
