The Faculty of Medicine again holds the 3rd International Conference

Darussalam, Banda Aceh – The Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University again held the Syiah Kuala International Conference on Medicine and Health Sciences (SKIC MHS), an international conference with the theme "A Legacy For Future Generation: The First 1000 Days of Life – From Scientific to Community Approach".


The conference was held for 2 days at the AAC Dayan Dawood Building. Chairman of the SKIC Committee Prof. Dr. dr. Mohd. Andalas, Sp.OG., FMAS says:


Currently the Stunting rate in Aceh itself is still very high, we hope that the international conference can provide benefits in reducing the stunting rate which is our homework.


said Prof. Andalas.


SKIC MHS is one of the flagship programs of the Unsyiah Faculty of Medicine, this year is the third year that the Unsyiah Faculty of Medicine holds an international conference.


SKIC also held the Second National Public Health Forum and the First Family Medicine Forum. So many issues are discussed in order to lead a healthy society. Met at the location of the International Conference was also the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University, Prof. Dr. dr. Maimun Syukri, Sp.PD., KGH-FINASIM also hopes that


Stunting Prevention is not only for health people but all stakeholders must be involved in this program


said Prof. Maimun.


The international conference which was held on October 9-10 also invited several experts from foreign countries. Among them are Prof. Lynda Redwood-Campbell from Canada, Prof. Dr. Zaleha Abdullah Mahdy from Malaysia, and Prof. Chen Hsin-Jen from Taiwan.


In addition to inviting the Ministry of Health, and other national experts to fill in, it is hoped that this conference can produce results for the progress of the nation.
