The Faculty of Medicine releases the Sim lecturing application

Exactly on September 3, 2018, the Unsyiah Faculty of Medicine officially released a course scheduling and attendance system for teaching staff, a system where study program admins and unit admins can schedule lecturer attendance for certain courses at different hours and rooms every day without requires confirmation between units to avoid schedule conflicts, because all lecture schedules will be arranged in one system.

With the Sim Lecture system, it will automatically reject the input of lecture data in the same lecture room as well as the scheduling of the lecturers. A little explanation about this Sim Lecture system, shortly after the lecturer finger prints the Sim Lecture application will display information about the presence of the teaching lecturer on the monitor screen that has been installed in several lecture hall lobbies, the data displayed on the monitor screen is the name of the lecturer who is teaching, the time the lecturer is do a finger print, and in which room the lecturer is teaching that day.

The data displayed on the monitor screen will automatically change after 24 hours. At the beginning of its release, there were still some adjustments regarding scheduling, attendance, and of course to remind lecturers not to forget to do finger prints.

For now, this system is still applied only to medical education study programs, but with the presence of this new system, the Faculty of Medicine Unsyiah has high hopes that in the future this system will be able to improve discipline and quality in the teaching and learning process in all their study programs.
