USK Medical Faculty students hold social service for Medical Student Humanitarian Action (AKMK) 2021

Students of the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University (USK) have held a Medical Student Humanitarian Action (AKMK) for three days from 19-21 November 2021.

This activity is a form of community service in the Want Jaya District by USK Medical Faculty students and is carried out free of charge. This activity consisted of more than 40 events and involved more than 450 USK Medical Faculty students consisting of the Medical Education Study Program and the Psychology Study Program.

This activity is carried out to address and reduce health issues that have been previously surveyed. In addition, we also want to help improve the health level of the community, especially the people of the Want Jaya District

One of the main events in the implementation of the 2021 AKMK is the Specialist Doctor Consultation which will be held at the Want Jaya Health Center. Doctors and health workers participated, namely lecturers from the USK Faculty of Medicine and medical personnel at the Zainoel Abidin Hospital.

On this occasion, the USK Chancellor said that the USK Rectorate staff were very supportive and appreciative of the Health Social Service activities organized by the students of the Faculty of Medicine in the Want Jaya District, Aceh Besar District.

It is hoped that through this activity students can also learn and apply the knowledge gained to provide health services for the community

said the Dean of the USK Faculty of Medicine, Prof. Dr. dr. Maimun Syukri Sp.PD-KGH, FINASIM in the Specialist Doctor Consultation event at the Want Jaya Health Center, Saturday (20/11/2021).

In addition, this activity also consists of events such as health checks and counseling which are carried out in several places, such as MIN 27 Lambaro, SDN Lamteungoh, Meunasah Lambaro, and the Office of the Sub-District Head of Want Jaya. At the Want Jaya Health Center itself, there are two main activities, namely Consultation of Specialist Doctors on November 20, 2021 and Free Circumcision on November 21, 2021.
