Doctoral Program - Medical Sciences will be opening soon

The Doctoral Program is the highest level of formal education at Syiah Kuala University and is one of the pioneers in the implementation of the Doctoral Program in Indonesia.

The Faculty of Medicine has made preparations step by step in organizing the Doctoral Program which is carried out with a free system (by research).

The preparation of the Faculty of Medicine at Syiah Kuala University for the proposal for the opening of the Doctoral Study Program in Medical Sciences has been carried out since early 2018, which was then realized by uploading the requirements for the opening of the Doctoral Study Program in Medical Sciences on November 5, 2018 to the Information System of the Directorate of Higher Education Institutional Development in Directorate General of Science and Technology Institutions and Higher Education Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education.

The results of the evaluation of the proposal have been approved by the Directorate of Higher Education Institutional Development, Directorate General of Science, Technology and Higher Education Institutions, Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education by conducting a field evaluation visit to the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University on January 24 to 25, 2019, the Doctoral Program which is now being developed in The Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University is a strata 3 education in a structured and monitored form that allows students to complete their education on time.

This program is managed by teaching staff with academic and research reputations on a national and international scale, and is supported by complete and adequate educational facilities (lecture rooms, study rooms, laboratories, libraries, multimedia and internet facilities).

DOCTORAL PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

The Doctoral Program in Medical Sciences at Syiah Kuala University aims to:

Produce graduates who are able to develop health science & technology in Biomedical Sciences, Clinical Medicine, Public Health, Medical & Health Education, Nursing or Health Nutrition Sciences;

Use knowledge and skills in their area of ??expertise to find answers and/or solve complex health problems at national, regional and international levels;

Communicating his thoughts and work in the field of medicine and health, both to the public in his professional environment and to the wider community at the national, regional and international levels;

Produce academic works in the form of publications in scientific journals, both nationally, regionally, and internationally with high reputations as well as patented works.

The plan to open this Doctoral Program has entered the final stage, with a visitation by the Directorate General of Institutional Science, Technology and Higher Education. Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education to the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University.

It is hoped that this Doctoral Program will be able to absorb the needs of Doctors in the health sector in Aceh and Sumatra. We know that there are 3 medical faculties in Aceh, namely, the Faculty of Medicine, Syiah Kuala University, the Faculty of Medicine, Malikussaleh University, and the Faculty of Medicine, Abulyatama University.
